eHouse is a free Chrome extension for researching property addresses in supported U.S. jurisdictions using linked public records. It does not require an account.
Data processed
- The extension processes the current Redfin or Zillow page URL locally only to derive an editable street address. It does not read page content.
- While the user enters an address, eHouse may send the address text to the eHouse API to request official U.S. Census address suggestions. When research starts, it sends the selected or confirmed property address and language.
- The API sends address, parcel, or map queries needed to retrieve records from the government sources identified in each report.
- Hosting and network providers may process IP addresses and standard request metadata for delivery, security, rate limiting, and abuse prevention.
Data not collected
eHouse does not collect accounts, payment data, listing-page content, full browsing history, precise device location, or owner-background profiles. It does not search for or retain divorce records, obituaries, or other personal-life events. Owner-name columns that may appear in an official lookup response are not retained or returned.
Storage, sharing, and sale
The application has no user or report database. Property addresses are redacted from application logs. eHouse does not sell personal information or use it for advertising. Data is disclosed only to service providers needed to operate the API and to the public agencies queried for the requested property research. Those providers may retain technical logs under their own policies.
Public-record sources
Every factual section identifies and links its original source. Public records may be incomplete, delayed, or incorrect and remain subject to the source agency's terms. eHouse is not a title search, appraisal, inspection, survey, or legal service.
